The C-reactive protein is an abnormal protein, which is reacted to various non-specific stmuli such
as infection, tissue necrosis, trauma, neoplasm and granuloma formation. Hence, C-reactive protein
was index of infection and its allied diseases.
Serum C-reactive protein determination on total 207 patients with infectious disease and allied

We experienced a case of familial hypercholesterolemia in 9 year-old boy with hypercholester-
olemia, tendon xanthoma, foamy histicoytes in skin biopsy and biochemical abnormalities in family
members, but without abnoramlity of cardiovascular system.
Diagnosis was established by clinical characteristics, serum chemistry and lipoprotein-
electrophotesis.
A brief review of related literatures was done. |

One case of hereditary spherocytosis was presented. Diagnosis was based on7physical find-
ings, spherocytes in peripheral blood, bone marrow, osmotic fragility test and autohemolysis
